It is very small
We will say it plainly: the shop does exactly what it says on the sign. It is a small barn, and on a busy day you will spend far longer getting into it than you will spend inside it. If you are expecting a grand farm emporium, adjust your expectations before you arrive - it is a small farm shop with very good marketing.
About that queue
The queue can run to an hour or two, and we have seen it go longer. Local legend says you can never count the Rollright Stones twice and get the same number. We have tried the same trick on the Diddly Squat queue - same result, and there are definitely more people than stones.
If you do want to go in, timing is everything. That is one thing we can actually help with - we drive past it most weeks and know when it is worth stopping and when it is not.
The bit that is worth it
The drinks. Skip the shop queue, get a Hawkstone lager - or something non alcoholic - and enjoy it looking out over the farm. That part is genuinely pleasant, and you can be doing it while everyone else is still shuffling towards the shed.
Our advice
If you are set on going under your own steam, go very early. Make it the first thing you do, and be prepared to queue anyway.
